The Oaks Dog Ranch, LLC

We’d like to introduce The Oaks Dog Ranch, a place where dogs of all types can come together to grow, play, and learn while their owners are out of town or at work. This establishment is no ordinary doggy daycare, however, but a place that offers enrichment filled and personalized play days for each and every dog. Each of the five founding members has years of experience in dog training and animal shelter/rescue volunteering, ensuring that all dogs are properly cared for and entertained. To learn more about The Oaks Dog Ranch, check out our interview with Brett Thomas, the property co-owner and business partner.

Brett, what is your work experience?

I have a Master’s Degree in Marketing & Management and a long corporate career. My business partner has a long career in construction as a general contractor.

Why should a customer choose The Oaks Dog Ranch?

We allow dogs to be dogs. We organize our playgroups by play style supervised by trained staff. Dogs participate in play days whether they are here for play days or boarding. Our training programs include socialization and real-life scenarios for your dog/puppy to learn in.

What led to you opening a doggie daycare facility?

My wife volunteered at a no-kill dog shelter and we had an opportunity to acquire the perfect property to develop into a doggie daycare/boarding facility.

What is the biggest advantage of owning your own business?

Seeing your vision come true.

What are your future plans for The Oaks Dog Ranch?

We just had our 2 year anniversary. We have grown dramatically and have begun to offer several more services. In the near term, grow the recently added services.

What is your mission statement?

To provide enrichment for dogs of most all play styles.

How is your team structured?

We have trained Ranch Hands that provide enrichment for our dog guests.
