If you’re a busy individual or are currently enjoying retirement, you can rest assured that your home will be cleaned to perfection when choosing them for your next home cleaning. To learn more about this amazing company, check out our interview with the owner, Inez Arevalo.

Inez, what is your background?

I went to college for Accounting and have work experience with budgets, accounting, and management. This has been beneficial to owning a business, I stay on top of the taxes, accounts receivable, and personnel oversight. A Cleaning to Remember started summer of 2015, we provide residential and commercial services to Brazoria, Ft Bend, and Harris/Galveston counties.

Why should a customer choose A Cleaning to Remember?

There are many cleaning individuals and companies in our area and I encourage competition. I believe a potential client should not only make a decision based on price but also the length of time the company has been in business, if their neighbors have used their services and would recommend them along with what services are being offered. We provide top to bottom cleaning each visit at affordable prices. We clean baseboards, ovens, blinds, make beds, wash dishes and many other items are cleaned that others would charge extra for. It’s important to us that each home is cleaned thoroughly and has a 24-hour guarantee.

What made you want to start this business?

I had hired several companies to clean my homes a few years ago but I was not satisfied and realized (just by looking online) how shower glass doors could be easily (and economically) cleaned with just vinegar. Since vinegar is a strongly acidic solution, it works as a disinfectant and also removes spots and buildup. So A Cleaning to Remember was registered, the cleaning supplies were purchased, a part-time cleaning technician was hired, a simple online ad was placed and business took off! We have been in business since 2015. The first few years were not easy (lots of learning and adjusting to do along the way) but it’s been worth it.

What are some of the advantages that come with owning your business?

The advantages of owning a business are being able to provide price flexibility, run specials, and have a close relationship with clients. For example, we have long term clients that are between jobs or have financial hardships and we work with them to continue the cleaning services. Owning a business has its stressful moments but seeing the growth is very rewarding.

Where do you see your business in the following years?

In the next few years, we hope to have expanded to other areas. Growth is essential in any company and we are eager to continue servicing our current clients but also gain new ones. With the help of online marketing and client referrals (by providing thorough cleanings), we hope to achieve our goals.

What is your mission statement?

A Cleaning to Remember pledges to provide the cleanest environment possible. We will continue to use EPA recommended products so we can deliver a clean and sanitized home or office.

What are the biggest issues for running your cleaning business?

The biggest concern with running a business is the uncertainty it can bring. It’s essential to us that we have a strong clientele and continue growing. If we have clients, our employees have work and means they have food on their table. We care not just about our financial growth but also our employee’s growth.

How is your team structured?

The cleaning technicians work either individually or in teams of 2. We use a wet/dry method – one will clean bathrooms and kitchen and the other specks of dust and vacuums. We have training personnel that is responsible for not just training but also providing quality checks.
